Dan’s Basement

We love working with so many of our clients and this pair in Milwaukie has been one of our favorites. We’ve got the challenge of turning a multi-roomed, low-ceilinged, concrete basement into a super hip living space that allows for “entertaining” 8-10 people (code word for “serious poker playing”), and space for a bar and a movie-watching area. You’d never guess by looking at the “before” photos that any of this would be possible. We were excited that one of these clients has a background in construction and has the courage and the skill to get the structure of the space ready. It will involve tearing out walls, moving duct work to raise the ceiling height, and taking out a roomful of the most excellent pink shag carpet we’ve seen in a long time… well, ever really.
The only existing items that they’ve required us to keep are their sofa and their television/stereo equipment.
